The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and managing existing accounts within Utah, acting as a technical consultant for customers' fluid-handling challenges.
Responsibilities
- Actively prospect and secure capital improvement projects and new accounts within the municipal and industrial markets across Utah by collaborating directly with leading engineering firms and end-users
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Conduct site visits and equipment audits to recommend optimal pump and equipment solutions based on flow, head, and fluid properties
- Work with the internal engineering and support teams to prepare technical quotes and competitive project bids
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and regional project developments (e.g., municipal infrastructure upgrades)
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline progress, and customer interactions
Skills
- 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in municipal, industrial equipment, pumps, or a related mechanical field
- Ability to read blueprints/schematics and understand fluid dynamics or mechanical systems
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote territory
- Ability to travel throughout Utah, northern Arizona and into Nevada for client meetings and site inspections
- A valid driver's license is required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience)
