Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children and families, to promote emotional well-being and support individuals in their journey toward mental health recovery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients.
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as Behavioral Therapy to guide treatment plans.
- Perform thorough assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate care and resources for clients.
- Collect data on client progress and outcomes to inform treatment adjustments.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for shared experiences.
- Implement specialized therapies as appropriate for clients' needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Meet with clients for counseling and maintain a client caseload (available options for visits include in-office and virtually through telehealth).
• Conduct intakes and psychosocial assessments.
• Diagnose symptoms and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Complete clinical documentation per agency standards, government policies, and CARF requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate with staff members and its affiliate organizations for scheduling, documentation, and client care.
• Assist with mental health emergencies as needed.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Mental Health Therapist in the State of Maryland. (LMSW, LCSW, LGPC, etc)
- Experience in Child Family Counseling is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of case management practices and familiarity with medical records management.
- Previous experience in group therapy settings is a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
