The Volunteer Program Manager is responsible for designing and overseeing volunteer programs, recruiting and supporting volunteers, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Designing, coordinating, and overseeing volunteer programs that support United Leaders Global’s mission
- Recruit, onboard, and support volunteers
- Ensure volunteers understand their responsibilities and have the resources needed to succeed
- Developing volunteer roles and schedules
- Managing communication with volunteers
- Organizing virtual training sessions
- Monitoring participation and performance
- Collaborate with internal teams to align volunteer initiatives with organizational goals
- Track program outcomes
- Prepare regular reports and updates
Skills
- Experience in volunteer management, program coordination, or community engagement, with the ability to design and oversee volunteer initiatives
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including experience with scheduling, documentation, and tracking program activities
- Be able to work for Unpaid/ Volunteer Position
- Be able to work for 4-7 hours per week
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse groups of volunteers and stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership and facilitation abilities, including experience conducting trainings, leading meetings, and supporting team collaboration
- Comfort with remote work tools and digital platforms (e.g., video conferencing, project management software, shared documents)
- Commitment to youth empowerment, social impact, and inclusive, non-discriminatory practices
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced, international, remote environment
- Relevant education or training in nonprofit management, social sciences, or a related field is beneficial but not required
- Prior experience working with youth or global initiatives is a plus
