Avèro Advisors is a fast-growing boutique management consulting firm that modernizes technology and business operations for state and local governments. They are seeking a Workday Finance Consultant to manage financial work-streams within ERP implementations, requiring strong project management skills and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage the detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, budgets, and resource allocation for assigned work-stream(s) of the financial ERP implementation, ensuring alignment with the overall project plan
- Collaborate with business process owners and functional leads to define requirements, map processes, and configure systems in your designated area(s)
- Lead and guide a team of business analysts and other project team members within your assigned work-stream(s)
- Proactively identify and manage risks within assigned work-streams. Escalate potential impact on the broader project to the Program Manager. Develop and implement solutions to keep your project components on track
- Where required, work with Workday representatives and/or external partners to manage technical integrations and align on requirements
- Provide regular progress reports to the Program Manager, team members, and other project stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation as per defined standards
- Participate in the development of test plans for assigned work-stream(s). Support execution of testing and UAT, ensuring issues are addressed
Skills
- Minimum of 3+ years of project management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at working with both technical and business teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail
- Remote within the United States. Candidates must be willing and able to travel as needed to support client engagements, project milestones, and team events
- Demonstrated experience in technology implementations and managing budgets
- Deep financial knowledge to assist in translating the implementation process to financially minded stakeholders
- Understanding of core ERP concepts and familiarity with work-stream areas like HR, payroll, or finance
- PMP certification or equivalent
