$19-$20 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

Purpose of Position
This research assistant will support investigators in various research-related activities, providing essential assistance for grant activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with participant recruitment, community outreach and preparation of recruitment materials for a community-based participatory action research project
Support participant orientation sessions
Coordinate and support data collection activities, including interviews and focus groups
Support qualitative data analysis
Assist with photo exhibition preparation and coordination
Maintain organized research documentation
Assist with literature reviews, reference management and manuscript/presentation preparation
Assist in preparing and submitting IRB applications
Assist in preparing and submitting grant proposals
Attend meetings with PI and other colleagues, as needed
Required Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of organizational skills to assist with research activities in a timely manner
Creativity in thinking and initiative
Ability to interact well with diverse populations, including faculty and staff
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, public health, nursing, biology, criminal justice, law or a related discipline (Summer 2026 graduates will be considered)
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
