Job Summary

The Revenue Platform Engineer builds internal applications that power workflows, service delivery, and analytics across the Spend Optimization Services (SOS) organization.

This role defines and develops the technical foundation of the SOS revenue platform by building scalable, modern applications that support revenue processes and analytics-driven decision making.

You will design and implement systems that translate business rules into structured, programmable logic – powering pricing, deal desk, and decision-making across the business.

This role is similar to a full-stack software engineer, with a focus on building internal platforms and implementing business logic that powers revenue workflows.

Application Development

  • Own the end-to-end design and development of internal applications that support revenue workflows (e.g., CPQ, order closure, and product catalog), from initial prototype through deployment and iteration.

  • Implement application logic that translates business processes and requirements into scalable, programmable functionality.

  • Define application data models that ensure information is captured in a structured, linkable way to support downstream analytics and reporting.

  • Build modern user interfaces using frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or similar web technologies, ensuring usability and clarity for business users.

  • Develop APIs and application components that enable applications to interact reliably with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric) through defined integration patterns.

  • Evaluate and make design decisions on architecture, frameworks, and implementation approaches to balance scalability, maintainability, and speed of delivery.

  • Continuously improve applications by identifying inefficiencies, simplifying workflows, and evolving systems as business needs and analytics capabilities mature.

Platform Infrastructure, Governance & Standards

  • Build and maintain application infrastructure in Azure, ensuring systems meet standards for performance, reliability, security, and scalability.

  • Implement DevOps practices using GitHub-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Establish development standards for maintainable architecture, testing, and documentation.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Strategic Transformation Office (STO) team, to ensure applications improve process efficiency and maturity while adhering to analytics and reporting needs.

  • Collaborate with IT partners where necessary to ensure applications align with enterprise infrastructure, architecture, and security standards.

  • Participate in design, architectural and roadmap conversations to contribute to the ongoing evolution of the SOS revenue platform.

  • Partner closely with analytics engineering to support data integration, validation, and application-layer logic, with the ability to provide coverage across key workflows as needed.
