We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Analyst to lead our business intelligence initiatives. This is a remote position that offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States while contributing to meaningful projects that shape the future of our organization. Position Overview
As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and leveraging information systems to maximize business impact through engineering, reporting, and analyses. You will work in close partnership with our Director of Algorithms and will be an essential collaborator with both technology and business teams to ensure that raw data is transformed into meaningful and actionable business insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
This role is responsible for identifying and solving gaps in business processes, leading initiatives that enhance data accessibility, and mentoring a team of talented data professionals. You will serve as a champion of data democratization, empowering departments across the organization to leverage data effectively in their daily operations and long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Management
- Expand and maintain the organization's single source of truth by distilling the complexity of third-party software data into intuitive and scalable reporting tables
- Ingest external data to enhance reporting and analyses, ensuring data quality and consistency across all platforms
- Promote data democratization and self-service analytics capabilities throughout the organization
- Support and drive data-driven decision-making across all departments and business units
Reporting & Visualization
- Construct actionable reporting used by departments across the organization, from operations to finance to marketing
- Design and monitor key performance metrics across departments, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Develop intuitive dashboards and visualizations using industry-leading tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Discover business opportunities and ensure stakeholder satisfaction through timely and accurate reporting
Analysis & Insights
- Translate complex business problems into analytical projects with clear hypotheses and methodologies
- Apply data mining and data modeling techniques to derive actionable business insights
- Prepare and present results to all levels of management, translating technical findings into business recommendations
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data that present opportunities for business improvement
Leadership & Team Development
- Communicate and drive the data roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization
- Work with business leaders to create requirements and execute strategic initiatives
- Mentor data analysts and data engineers, both onshore and offshore, fostering their professional growth
- Set deadlines and uphold data and analytics standards within the team
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve business processes with departments outside of the Data and Analytics division
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
- Advanced degrees or certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields are a plus
Experience
- Eight or more years of experience in an analytical role with increasing responsibility
- Five or more years of management experience, leading teams of data professionals
- Demonstrated success in managing both offshore and onshore team members
Technical Skills
- High proficiency in SQL and ETL tools, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize data pipelines
- Proficient in building visualizations through reporting software, including Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as VBA, Python, C#, or R for data manipulation and automation
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts, MLOps, and emerging AI technologies is advantageous

Compensation & Benefits
