The Database Access Platform team builds and operates a flexible query gateway that works with data abstractions to perform at sub-millisecond latencies while allowing arenaflex microservices to more efficiently store, consume, and manage their data. The Data Platform Engineering team acts as a platform for our internal data platforms. Our shared system and tooling enable arenaflex to rapidly advance in providing cutting-edge data and analytics systems to the rest of the organization without building custom infrastructure for each new system. To accomplish this, we create high-impact infrastructure, control, and orchestration systems customized for the needs of running our data systems at scale. Responsible for providing the cloud-native platform for distributed data processing at arenaflex, this team is critical to batch data processing in our Data Platform. It supports Flash (Spark) to ETL data into our petabyte-scale data warehouse and provides access to that data using Flash and Voila/TrinoDB. The team also delivers sub-second latency for specific classes of queries using Druid. We are searching for exceptional talent with experience in Spark, Presto/Trino, Druid, Iceberg, and distributed database systems overall.
Roles in this team involve tackling fascinating and challenging problems of working with data at scale, building features and performance improvements, and working closely with open-source communities to shape initiatives and make meaningful contributions.
