About Aigent Energy

AGent is building the leading software platform to optimize distributed generation resources — turning energy liabilities into reliable, monetizable assets. We bring AI to the aggregation, orchestration, and monetization of distributed generation in wholesale and retail power markets, delivering meaningful reliability, economic, and sustainability benefits to commercial, institutional, and industrial energy users, utilities, and grid operators.

We move fast, think big, and operate with a lean, high-trust team. Every hire matters here.

About the role

AGent has an immediate opening for a world-class VP of Product & Engineering who is ready to lock arms with our leadership team and take full ownership of both product and engineering. This is not a purely technical role — it is a builder's role. You will spend as much time understanding customers, shaping the product roadmap, and driving execution as you will overseeing the engineering team that brings it to life.

Our VP of Product & Engineering brings four things to AGent:

  1. A product-first mindset: you know how to talk to customers, translate what you hear into prioritized features, and build the right thing in the right order;
  2. An engineering leader's instincts: you architect for scale, hold teams to timelines, and make smart build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions; and
  3. An operator's discipline: you run tight processes, ship on time, and create the structure and accountability that a fast-moving team needs to perform.
  4. An Innovator's Vision: You see where the energy market is heading before others do, challenge conventional thinking, and translate that foresight into a bold product direction. You inspire the team to build things that are genuinely differentiated — bringing the innovation necessary to turn AGent's unique approach to distributed generation into a platform that stands apart in the market.

This role leans 50–60% product and 40–50% engineering. If you've spent your career purely in one lane, this probably isn't the right fit. If you've lived at the intersection of both — and loved it — read on.
