Position Summary
Élan Partners is partnering with a rapidly growing technology services organization that specializes in software product engineering, digital transformation, and AI-driven solutions. Our client is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition across the U.S. market.
This is a true hunter role focused on building new relationships, generating opportunities, leading pursuits, and closing enterprise-level services engagements. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company's U.S. footprint while working closely with executive leadership to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial sales professional with an established book of business (rolodex) who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys opening new doors, and has a proven track record of selling technology consulting, software development, product engineering, or digital transformation services. This individual should be comfortable engaging C-level stakeholders, navigating complex sales cycles, and independently managing opportunities from prospecting through contract execution.
Requirements
• 10+ years of business development or enterprise sales experience within technology services, consulting, software development, product engineering, or digital transformation environments.
• Demonstrated success in a quota-carrying, hunter-focused sales role.
• Proven ability to generate new business opportunities and build a pipeline through direct outreach, networking, referrals, and industry engagement.
• Experience leading complex sales pursuits from discovery through negotiation and close.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage and influence C-level stakeholders.
• Established professional network within target industries and markets.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive results.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.
Responsibilities
• Identify, pursue, and secure new client relationships across the U.S. market.
• Develop and execute territory and go-to-market strategies to support revenue growth objectives.
• Generate qualified leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry events.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Collaborate with technical and pre-sales teams to develop customized client solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with executive decision-makers and key stakeholders.
• Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, and client meetings.
• Partner with marketing teams on campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and sales enablement materials.
• Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting.
• Consistently achieve and exceed revenue and booking targets.
