About the Role
As a Data Analytics Sales Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for driving Data Analytics engagement with new and existing customers in the government and education sectors. You'll work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and position our data analytics solutions as the pathway to transformation.
Your expertise in cloud-based analytics technologies, combined with your ability to translate complex technical capabilities into measurable business value, will be essential in this role. You'll serve as both a seller and a strategic advisor, influencing long-term client relationships and shaping the future of how public sector organizations utilize data.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Development: Create and execute comprehensive plans to expand Data Analytics adoption across new and existing arenaflex Cloud accounts in the government and education sectors.
- Revenue Growth: Drive new Data Analytics workloads and accelerate spending by ramping Data Analytics initiatives for key accounts, focusing on maximizing value delivery.
- Executive Relationship Building: Establish and maintain C-level relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor who influences strategic direction and acts as the primary point of contact for Data Analytics initiatives.
- Business Development: Develop strategies to accelerate sales cycles and achieve success in a collaborative, engaged environment with cross-functional teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with product teams, marketing, and solution architects to develop innovative approaches for acquiring new Data Analytics clients and expanding workloads.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitor landscapes, and emerging technologies to position arenaflex as the preferred partner for public sector data modernization.
- Thought Leadership: Act as an expert voice in data analytics topics, translating business requirements into technical solutions and mentoring others in the organization.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in selling information analytics software products or solutions.
- Proven track record in government-level sales or consulting, specifically in cloud-based (SaaS) technology serving State and Local Government and Higher Education institutions.
- Strong understanding of the public sector procurement process and stakeholder dynamics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical and executive audiences.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with market-leading Business Intelligence front-end tools, Data Analytics Middleware, or back-end Data Warehouse technologies.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies integrated into data solutions.
- In-depth understanding of Cloud Data Analytics technology stacks, including:
- Hadoop/Spark Data Lakes
- SQL Data Warehouses
- Data Streaming and ETL processes
- Data Governance frameworks
- Business Intelligence and Predictive Analytics tools
- OLAP and Data technology frameworks
- Modern cloud-native analytics platforms
- Proven ability to translate business value into technology solutions at the executive level.
- Experience acting as a thought leader in data analytics topics.
- Existing relationships with government or education technology decision-makers.

Compensation Details
The compensation for this position ranges from $30-40 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and work location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant training.
