What You'll Do: Leadership in Digital Campaign Operations
As our Digital Operations Client Management Director, you will be a key leader within our operations team, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of digital advertising campaigns across our extensive digital ecosystem. Your role begins with pre-sales guidance and media planning and continues through campaign setup, optimization, reporting, and invoicing—covering all forms of advertising activity across our digital properties.
You will lead a talented team of Digital Operations Client Management managers, guiding them through every stage of the campaign lifecycle while ensuring we deliver maximum value to our advertising partners. A significant portion of your focus will be on video advertising for our flagship streaming service and other digital assets including websites, applications, and social platforms.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Digital Operations Client Management managers, supporting assigned sales representatives and their clients through all phases of the campaign lifecycle—from planning to invoicing and reconciliation.
- Revenue Optimization: Drive successful media plans that maximize revenue while maintaining exceptional quality standards and client satisfaction.
- Campaign Management: Oversee all aspects of campaign management, including inventory forecasting, media plan creation, request entry, dealing, optimization, reporting, and invoicing across display, video, and connected TV environments.
- Client Excellence: Serve as the primary point of contact for complex escalations related to inventory, advertising products, or campaign challenges, ensuring timely resolution and exceptional service.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Finance, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate revenue tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve ad delivery, ad quality, and technical issues, collaborating with global Ad Platform support teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Innovation & Testing: Test potential advertising technology vendor integrations and provide valuable feedback during contract negotiations to enhance our tech stack capabilities.
- Process Improvement: Ideate, execute, review, and optimize operational processes that drive quality, efficiency, and scalability across the organization.
- Revenue Analytics: Analyze usage and performance of digital inventory to develop strategies and products that maximize revenue yield and uncover new monetization opportunities.
- Talent Development: Manage, mentor, and develop team talent, including training new hires and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Documentation: Create and maintain internal documentation to explain processes, best practices, and operational guidelines.
- Regional Collaboration: Collaborate with regional teams and serve as a local center of excellence for other offices across the EMEA region.
- Industry Awareness: Stay current with arenaflex's advertising technology stack and strategy, while monitoring industry developments and emerging trends in digital advertising.
What We're Looking For: Experience & Qualifications
We seek candidates who bring a combination of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the digital media landscape with specific expertise in video, programmatic, and connected TV (CTV) advertising.
Essential Experience:
- Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of overall experience in the advertising industry, either on the publisher/agency side or in advertising technology.
- Proven team management experience with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
- Expertise in defining, documenting, and optimizing processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Highly skilled in planning, dealing, and managing advertising campaigns for display and video across websites, applications, social platforms, and connected TV environments.
- Demonstrated ability to launch campaigns, generate accurate and relevant insights, and optimize performance based on data-driven analysis.
- Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, the technologies that power it, and key players in the ecosystem.
- Familiarity with data protection and privacy requirements related to digital advertising, particularly within the EMEA region.
- Comfortable representing the organization at external gatherings, conferences, and industry events.
- Experience with media or entertainment brands is highly beneficial, as is knowledge of global corporate processes and procedures.
- Proficiency with ad serving and campaign management systems (such as Google Campaign Manager), demand-side platforms (such as DV360), and management of creative labels and tracking tags.
- Knowledge of campaign activation for digital campaigns and related technical requirements.
