As the Head of Information Investigation, you will become an integral part of our Store Automation and Innovation team. You'll be responsible for developing a comprehensive suite of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure the effectiveness of our strategic initiatives. Your work will define how we track progress toward our goals and report achievements to executive leadership on a regular basis. This isn't just about crunching numbers—it's about telling compelling stories with data that influence strategic direction and drive measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Do
As the Head of Information Investigation at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in defining and executing our data strategy. Your responsibilities will span multiple dimensions of our analytics operations:
- Data Source Identification & Management: You will identify and map data sources across the organization, requiring deep knowledge of functional business domains, data categories, where information is stored, business data requirements, database technologies, and data quality frameworks. You'll be the expert who knows where every critical piece of data lives and how to access it efficiently.
- Business Problem Analysis: Examine business challenges within your domain and question assumptions to help identify root causes. You'll recognize and recommend approaches to resolving business issues while establishing relevant expectations based on established progress guidelines and key measurements. Your analytical mindset will help uncover opportunities that others might miss.
- Business Case Evaluation: Assess proposed business cases for projects and initiatives. You'll translate business requirements into strategies and align your team with the broader business strategy while executing against expectations. This includes developing robust business cases that demonstrate ROI and strategic value.
- Data Visualization & Storytelling: Identify and recommend the most suitable visualization tools based on context. You'll define application designs based on client requirements, build compelling narratives from data, present to and influence diverse audiences using appropriate data visualization techniques, and adapt communication styles to different stakeholders.
- Strategic Direction & Leadership: Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs. This encompasses developing, delivering, building support for, and implementing business processes, plans, and practices. You'll investigate costs and estimates and integrate them into business plans while determining and supporting resource requirements.
- Community & Partnership Development: Create and utilize internal and external networks and organizations. Lead key community outreach and involvement initiatives while supporting partners while respecting and adhering to the company's principles of integrity and ethics.
What You'll Bring
We're seeking candidates with a proven track record of success in data analytics and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong capability in SQL, Python, and big data tools such as Hive. You'll need to be comfortable working with large datasets and complex data structures to extract meaningful insights.
- Visualization Expertise: Experience with dashboarding tools like Looker and scheduling/workflow tools such as Airflow. You'll be responsible for creating intuitive dashboards that make complex data accessible to stakeholders at all levels.
- Executive Communication: The ability to communicate the details of metrics to executives clearly and persuasively. You must translate technical findings into business language that drives decision-making.
- Business Acumen: Capacity to connect details of data and their impact on the business. You should be able to demonstrate how data insights translate to measurable business outcomes.
- Metric Development: Experience developing new metrics to track business impact. You'll design KPIs that accurately measure progress toward strategic objectives.
- Team Leadership: Experience leading a team of analysts. You'll mentor and develop talent while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Reporting & Integration: Experience building dashboards and reports that aggregate data from multiple sources. You'll create unified views that provide comprehensive business intelligence.
