Position Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in a part-time remote capacity. This position is ideal for a licensed pharmacist who wants to work in a flexible environment while continuing to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care and support to patients across California.
As a Pharmacist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for executing medical services procedures, driving patient health outcomes, and ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services. You will play a critical role in implementing pharmacy programs, managing prescription processing from a remote setting, and fostering strong relationships with clinical communities in your assigned area.
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Patient Care Programs: Execute direct patient care programs, including Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. You will work directly with patients to ensure optimal medication therapy outcomes and provide personalized pharmaceutical consultations.
- Program Execution: Drive the execution of multiple business strategies and initiatives to ensure business needs are being met. Implement pharmacy programs designed to improve patient health outcomes while maximizing operational efficiency.
- Compliance and Quality Improvement: Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by analyzing, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing changes. Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines.
- Financial Performance: Drive pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with organizational financial goals. Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes.
- Patient Experience Enhancement: Support efforts to improve patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultations, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services such as inoculations, illness state management, and specialty programs.
- Team Support and Development: Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Support staff training experiences and development opportunities. Promote teamwork and drive pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting organizational policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Clinical Reviews: Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary action to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication therapy. Provide individualized patient/provider consultation.
- Patient Communication: Through use of superior interpersonal skills, earn the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy concerns. Provide feedback concerning the effectiveness of client retention programs including comments from patients as the value of individual consultations.
- Clinical Consultation: Responsible for all inquiries, transactions, and issues which relate directly to patient treatment. Provide clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to guidelines and procedures for all job duties to meet objectives. Comply with company policies and procedures including all HIPAA regulations/guidelines. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.

Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a related field is required.
- Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as permitted by the appropriate state licensing authority. Candidates must be licensed to practice pharmacy in California.
- Experience: Experience advancing colleagues to research and resolve issues is required.
- Confidentiality: Experience working with confidential information is required.
- Availability: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends as needed to meet business demands.
- Time Management: Experience utilizing time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates.
- Independent Work: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
- Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including satisfying quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be considered a plus:
- Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if required.
- Knowledge of insurance plans and billing procedures.
- Knowledge of computer operating systems including Radio, Commitment, and Plus.
- Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
- Basic proficiency level in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding bullet level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show).
- Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, formatting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities).

Compensation and Benefits
We are pleased to offer a competitive compensation package for this part-time position:
