Position Overview: Pharmacist (Part Time/Remote)
As a Pharmacist at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in executing medical services procedures and driving exceptional patient well-being outcomes. You will be responsible for implementing patient intervention pharmacy programs and ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services. This position involves executing against established pharmacy programs, driving pharmacy financial performance by implementing initiatives that increase reimbursements while improving patient health outcomes, and handling prescription processing from a remote setting.
You will foster strong relationships with clinical communities in your assigned area and serve as a representative and contact for arenaflex. This role requires you to act as an informed authority and resource to other pharmacists and field leaders while maintaining current knowledge of the pharmacy industry and required licensure.
Key Responsibilities
As a valued member of the arenaflex pharmacy team, your responsibilities will include:
Direct Patient Care Programs
- Implement direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects
- Drive the execution of multiple business strategies and projects to ensure business needs are being met
- Provide individualized patient and provider consultations based on comprehensive medication reviews
- Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe medication treatment
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by analyzing, evaluating, and redesigning processes
- Monitor and analyze results and implement necessary changes to improve outcomes
- Ensure区域 Pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines
- Adhere to compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
Financial Performance
- Drive local pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals
- Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance
- Contribute to business growth through effective program implementation
Patient Experience Enhancement
- Support efforts to improve patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews
- Provide services such as vaccinations, illness state management, and Specialty programs
- Utilize superior interpersonal skills to win the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy concerns
Team Leadership and Support
- Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership
- Support staff training experiences and development opportunities
- Promote teamwork and motivate Pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision
- Support organization policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Clinical Documentation and Communication
- Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary actions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications
- Provide feedback concerning the effectiveness of the Client Retention Program including comments from patients regarding the value of individual consultations
- Be accountable for all inquiries, transactions, and issues which relate directly to patient treatment
- Provide clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed
General Responsibilities
- Perform other work consistent with the job duties in this document as assigned by management
- Adhere to guidelines and procedures for all job responsibilities to meet goals
- Comply with company policies and procedures including all HIPAA regulations and guidelines
- Maintain current knowledge of the Pharmacy industry and required licensure
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role at arenaflex, you must possess:
- Education: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy or related field
- Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as permitted by the appropriate state licensing authority
- Experience: Experience advancing colleagues to research and resolve issues
- Confidentiality: Experience working with confidential information
- Availability: Ability to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends
- Time Management: Experience utilizing time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates
- Self-Direction: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal oversight, depending on oneself to complete objectives
- Judgment: Ability to determine when escalation of issues is necessary
- Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:
- Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if necessary
- Knowledge of insurance plans
- Knowledge of PC operating systems including Radio, Commitment, and Plus
- Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a line, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets)
- Basic proficiency level in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show)
- Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, formatting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, fix, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities)
