The Opportunity: Senior Marketing Communications Specialist
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marketing Communications Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing trigger-based email communications that drive customer engagement and business growth. You'll leverage your deep expertise in data-driven marketing to create personalized, relevant messaging that resonates with our diverse customer base. Your work will directly contribute to our marketing KPIs and help shape the future of how we engage with customers across digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Email Channel Leadership: Lead the strategy, development, and optimization of trigger-based email communications using advanced data segmentation and personalization techniques.
- Campaign Development: Create and manage automated customer journeys that deliver the right message at the right time, enhancing customer experience and driving conversion.
- Data Analysis & Testing: Design and implement A/B and multivariate tests to optimize email performance, and provide actionable insights on marketing impact.
- Performance Management: Own and drive performance KPIs for email marketing initiatives, continuously monitoring metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Customer Data Strategy: Develop and maintain robust customer data segmentation strategies to ensure targeted, relevant communications.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the marketing team.
- Platform Expertise: Utilize Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder or similar enterprise email platforms to build complex, conditional logic-based campaigns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and analytics teams to ensure cohesive customer experiences across all touchpoints.
- Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to bring fresh ideas and approaches to our email marketing strategy.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Marketing or Product roles with a focus on client-facing digital communications
- Deep expertise in the email channel, specifically in creating trigger-based communications using customer data
- Strong understanding of A/B and multivariate testing methodologies and how to measure marketing impact
- Proven experience owning performance KPIs for a channel or product area
- Solid understanding of customer data structures and segmentation strategies
- Experience managing and growing direct reports with a passion for team development
- Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder or trigger-based email capabilities within other enterprise ESP platforms
- Experience creating audiences using conditional logic and data-driven approaches
