Offensive Security Analyst (Structured / Non-Exploit) — AI Training About The Role What if your hard-won knowledge of how attackers think, move, and succeed could directly shape how AI understands cybersecurity threats? We're looking for Offensive Security Analysts to bring real-world adversarial expertise to frontier AI development — analyzing attack paths, modeling threat behavior, and helping train AI systems to reason about security the way the best humans do. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No exploit development required — just deep, practical knowledge of how real attacks unfold and the ability to articulate what matters and why. • Organization: Alignerr • Type: Hourly Contract • Location: Remote • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do • Analyze realistic attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across modern production environments • Identify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive gaps and explain how they can be chained or exploited • Review red-team-style scenarios and intrusion narratives for accuracy, completeness, and realism • Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and evaluate AI systems • Clearly articulate threat impact, attacker decision-making, and risk propagation in structured formats • Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule Who You Are • 2+ years of hands-on experience in pentesting, red teaming, or a blue-team role with deep offensive knowledge • You understand how real attacks unfold in live environments — not just in theory • You can walk through a kill chain, explain attacker intent, and articulate where defenses fail • Able to communicate complex security concepts clearly in writing • Self-motivated and consistent when working independently • No exploit development or active hacking required for this role Nice to Have • Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or STRIDE • Experience writing red team reports, threat models, or post-incident narratives • Background in cloud security, network security, or endpoint detection and response • Prior exposure to AI tools, security research, or data labeling workflows Why Join Us • Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading research labs • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work • Make a tangible impact on how AI reasons about real-world cybersecurity threats • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
