Position Overview
As a Part-Time Remote Data Entry & Analytics Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for assembling large, complex datasets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including redesigning infrastructure for enhanced scalability and optimizing data delivery mechanisms.
This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and communication skills. You'll be empowered to use your expertise to drive meaningful change within our organization while developing your skills in cloud technologies, data engineering, and business analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Assembly: Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all data assets.
- Process Improvement: Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including redesigning infrastructure for more scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes to increase operational efficiency.
- Infrastructure Development: Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse data sources using AWS and SQL technologies.
- Analytics & Insights: Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational performance and customer acquisition trends.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work effectively with stakeholders including Data, Design, Product, and Executive teams, supporting them with data-related technical issues and ensuring their infrastructure needs are met.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Apply independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to identify the best approach for undertaking work and resolving complex technical challenges.
- Project Leadership: Lead and/or provide expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-functional projects, offering guidance on process improvements and helping establish organizational best practices.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work with external vendors, supporting them to provide effective solutions and insights that enhance our data capabilities.
- Additional Duties: Perform other job responsibilities as directed by leadership, contributing to the overall success of the data operations team.
Essential Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent formal training
Required Experience
Advanced level experience, proficient and specialized knowledge in:
- Cloud infrastructure and DataLake architecture
- ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) experience ensuring source-to-target data integrity
- Various file types including Delimited Text, Fixed Width, XML, JSON, and Parquet
- ServiceBus, setting up ingress and egress within a subscription, or relevant AWS Cloud services administrative experience
- Unit Testing, Code Quality tools, CI/CD Technologies, Security and Container Technologies
- Agile development experience with familiarity in Agile ceremonies and practices
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Technical Engineering Knowledge: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including applying concepts, techniques, procedures, and equipment for the design and production of various products and services.
- Design Proficiency: Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Logical Reasoning: Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Information Analysis: Ability to comprehend the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
- Complex Problem Identification: Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Issue Recognition: Ability to recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong, involving problem recognition rather than problem-solving.
- Information Synthesis: Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions, including finding relationships among seemingly unrelated events.
