Position Overview: Agency Sales Manager
As an Agency Sales Manager at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in driving our corporate travel strategy. You'll serve as the expert authority for TMC (Travel Management Company) business, acting as a trusted advisor to our corporate clients and ensuring that arenaflex remains the preferred choice for business travel. This position requires exceptional judgment, strong business acumen, and the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
You'll work independently with minimal supervision, exercising significant judgment to make decisions that directly impact revenue and market share. Your ability to analyze market trends, negotiate contracts, and develop creative solutions will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
As an integral part of our corporate sales team, you will be responsible for:
- Leading TMC Business Development: Serve as the primary expert and point of contact for Travel Management Company (TMC) accounts, representing arenaflex in all business dealings and negotiations.
- Building Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong business relationships with TMC accounts, focusing on creating valuable business travel opportunities that benefit both arenaflex and our corporate clients.
- Negotiating Agreements: Exercise considerable judgment to manage pricing, cost analysis, and negotiations for all TMC agreements, with the goal of securing the highest market share and yield possible in individual markets.
- Contract Development: Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to develop and execute contract-based arrangements that protect arenaflex's interests while meeting client needs.
- Revenue Analysis: Analyze revenue, discounts, and contract performance to ensure target compliance and profitability across all TMC accounts.
- Marketing Initiatives: Develop marketing-related promotions to drive sales efforts, working closely with marketing and business loyalty teams to create compelling offers.
- Account Management: Manage the setup of TMC corporate accounts through sales calls, negotiation sessions, and coordination with pricing teams.
- Business Growth: Plan business growth and lead the development of additional corporate accounts through collaboration with the revenue management team, ensuring that strategic entries are filed appropriately and driving expected revenue per agreement specifications.
- Market Analysis: Monitor reporting and statistics to identify trends and develop strategies to ensure arenaflex is positioned appropriately in the market.
- Performance Monitoring: Track income, commissions, and contract execution to ensure maximum revenue and share objectives are achieved.
- Resource Management: Effectively manage and negotiate time and resources, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for arenaflex.
- Sales Planning: Prepare and execute regional sales plans according to corporate sales targets, ensuring arenaflex is strategically positioned among competitors.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales, with a focus on retail management or a related field.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (2+ additional years of relevant training/experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- High School Diploma: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
