They are seeking an Architect, Applied Scientist to lead the development and implementation of advanced machine learning algorithms and systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Drives Data & AI Platform applied science execution
- Leads integration, alignment, and execution of strategies and plans at the highest level
- Provides scientific and technical leadership and guidance to implement research direction to production
- Works on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products or technologies
- Focus on review, design, technical vision, and science practices for the entire organization
- Influence spans across multiple lines of businesses
- Work with engineering, product management and senior management to set direction for Oracle's AI efforts
- Partner with engineering and product management leaders to deliver new services and features that leverage machine learning and deep learning
- Defines the bar for engineering practices and ops practices, and helps teams achieve those goals
- Hires and mentors across the org
- Perform an active role in team planning, review and retrospective events
- Identifies and mitigates risks across our full set of systems, particularly at the intersection of business and engineering
- Collaborates with Oracle’s technical partners on long-term strategy
- Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments
- May perform other duties as assigned

- Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
