Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Stage 2 Capital is backing StartProto, a cloud-native AI manufacturing operating system. As the first Account Executive, you will manage the entire sales process, showcasing solutions to manufacturing challenges and helping to develop a scalable sales playbook.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle—prospecting, discovery, demo, and close—for manufacturers across our target segments
- Take a “value-based” selling approach to ensure that every aspect of the StartProto product is positioned to address prospects needs and challenges
- Pipeline generation through self sourced efforts and partnership with BDR/Marketing collaboration
- Generate a list of target accounts and contacts using HubSpot, Clay, and LinkedIn to uncover and qualify new opportunities
- Gain expert knowledge and proficiency within the product and manufacturing industry as a whole
- Help codify messaging, objection handling, and close patterns into a playbook for future hires
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and onboarding
- Leverage HubSpot to manage all sales and prospecting activities
Skills
- 5+ years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales with a consistent track record of quota attainment
- Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
- Comfortable with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT); we use them daily
- Demonstrated ability to present in a group setting
- Effective communication skills that will allow you to foster quick and successful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Travel required: ~25% a month (in-person meetings and trade shows/events)
- Responsible for adherence to all security and privacy requirements, rules and regulations and implement as required
- This position requires activities that are subject to US Export Control Laws and require US Citizenship or Green Card Holder
