The role involves building, reviewing, and optimizing APIs and backend services while collaborating with research and engineering teams to improve model performance and developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Building, reviewing, and optimizing APIs and backend services
• Working with REST and GraphQL architectures
• Evaluating code quality, reliability, security, and maintainability
• Testing advanced AI-powered development tools in real-world engineering workflows
• Identifying bugs, unexpected behaviours, and performance issues
• Producing clear technical feedback, bug reports, screenshots, and observations
• Collaborating with research and engineering teams to improve model performance and developer experience

Skills

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in at least one of the listed technology stacks
• Experience building and maintaining production applications, APIs, or services
• Understanding of security, validation, testing, error handling, and software quality principles
• Experience with databases, schema design, migrations, or performance optimization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to provide structured technical feedback and detailed observations
• Open-source contributions
• AI-assisted software development
• Developer tooling evaluation
• Experimental workflow testing
• Technical writing and documentation
• Full software development lifecycle experience
