White Cap Canada is seeking a Sr. Director of Rental Operations to provide enterprise-wide leadership and strategic direction for rental operations across multiple facilities. The role focuses on ensuring safety, operational excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction while driving scalable processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction across all rental operations, including multi-site and regional teams
- Lead, develop, and manage a multi-layered leadership team (operations, rental, customer service, continuous improvement)
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and adherence to regulatory and company standards
- Drive operational excellence (safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer service performance)
- Own financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and capital planning
- Establish and execute enterprise strategies (inventory optimization, fleet utilization, capacity planning)
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including standardization and process optimization
- Partner cross-functionally and implement KPI/performance management systems to drive accountability
Skills
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline
- Generally, 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity
- Multi-site leadership experience in rental, manufacturing, or distribution operations
- Experience managing large, multi-layered teams across geographically dispersed locations
- Proven success in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience with P&L ownership and financial management
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certifications
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Advanced leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with KPI development and performance management systems
