They are seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Development to drive new client acquisitions and manage key relationships within their corporate investor relations production practice.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and close new business with publicly traded companies, IR agencies, and financial communications firms in need of premium production services, presentation design, web design & development, investor relations, and creative support
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships with IR officers, corporate communications leaders, and financial PR firms
- Develop compelling proposals and pitch productions tailored to the specific needs of corporate IR clients
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from cold outreach and prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and contract close
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process, ensuring a seamless handoff to the production team
- Report on pipeline activity, revenue performance, and client retention directly to the CEO
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in a business development or sales role with a demonstrated, proven track record of success within corporate IR or financial communications production
- Deep expertise in investor relations content, including earnings productions, annual reports, shareholder communications, roadshow materials, and IR event coverage
- Established relationships within the corporate IR and financial communications landscape. You know the right people and know how to open doors
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and close at the C-suite and IR leadership level
- Strong ability to develop and close large-scale production contracts with publicly traded companies, IR agencies, and financial communications firms
- Self-directed and highly organized, with the ability to manage a sales pipeline and thrive in a fully remote environment
