Position Overview
As part of a global team, you will have the opportunity to partner with arenaflex offices, product developers, and packaging suppliers spanning the US, China, India, and additional global locations. This role will support and impact all areas of the Owned Brand business. The best part? What You'll Do
As a Lead Packaging Strategy Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of arenaflex's packaging ecosystem. Your expertise in data management, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration will be essential to driving our packaging strategy forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build foundational data requirements, taxonomy structures, and specific loyalty rationale to support packaging design optimization and sustainability efforts across all Owned Brand categories.
- Consult with relevant sourcing, design, store operations, marketing, supply chain, properties, and compliance program owners in establishing relevant data requirements and flexible guidelines that consistently reflect our commitment to safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
- Create and administer change processes to ensure accurate packaging documentation management portfolios across multiple systems and partner teams.
- Develop, manage, and execute innovative planning and creative content on an ongoing basis for internal and external audiences to drive comprehensive understanding of standards, specifications, and data accuracy best practices.
- Evaluate data requirements, standards, and specifications to optimize safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that align with industry standards, enhance good engineering practices, are consistent with risk tolerance expectations, and maintain a pioneering position in the industry.
- Provide support and guidance to cross-functional teams and colleagues to ensure proper interpretation and enactment of packaging data requirements, standards, and specifications.
- Consult with appropriate internal regulatory and compliance-informed authorities, identifying impacts on current data requirements and standards, taking action to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for groundbreaking compliance practices.
- Work with cross-functional global partners to drive effective communication and roadshows around stated objective development, compliance, and data accuracy best practice requirements and expectations.
- Use data to identify trends or issues, in partnership with technology teams, to measure effectiveness of training delivered and communications sent.
- Investigate industry trends and assess arenaflex's comparative data and standards practices, sharing insights and recommendations with appropriate audiences for improvement and compliance.
- Provide leadership and guidance to others, driving effectiveness and efficiency in team results.
- Create and maintain a positive team culture by demonstrating behaviors consistent with arenaflex's values of Inclusivity, Connection, and Drive; ensure ongoing, effective communications to the team, and support individualized development by offering regular performance feedback, coaching, recognition, and evaluation.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the packaging strategy team.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience: 4+ years of experience developing and managing documentation and standards programs, preferably including packaging design and development
- Project Management: Ability to influence without authority, manage projects, facilitate groups, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport, and collaborate effectively, both in-person and remotely, across all levels of an organization
- Technical Skills: Experience with documentation best practices, technical writing, and reporting
- Content Development: Skilled in developing and advising on content, structure, and delivery of effective training programs, roadshows, and communications
- Leadership: Experience leading teams and/or projects, driving collaboration, empowerment, and teamwork
- Analytical Abilities: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and analytical skills
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Adaptability: Flexibility and resilience; comfortable working in ambiguous and constantly changing environments
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Collaboration: Ability to work, communicate, and lead in a highly collaborative environment
- Technical Proficiency: Strong capability in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), and visualization applications

Compensation & Benefits
