Staff Accountant

GEM Realty Capital is a strategically integrated real estate investment firm specializing in private and public market opportunities. The company is seeking a Staff Accountant for its financial reporting department, responsible for preparing financial reporting packages, balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting with tax projections.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting packages for assigned properties/assets
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Review and analyze financial data of assigned properties/assets
• Work with property management team to resolve any issues
• Prepare quarterly tax projections
• Assist the tax preparer in completing the annual tax return
• Prepare lender and partner reports to comply with the financial reporting requirements
• Work with external auditors and provide answers to their questions/requests

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, including strong academic performance GPA of at least a 3.0
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Strong skills in Microsoft office
• Excellent communication, written and organizational skills
• Willingness to work onsite twice weekly
