Position Overview
As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for building and maintaining massive information pipelines that enable advanced analytics and information generation solutions. You will identify valuable internal and external data sources and collaborate closely with data scientists to define data requirements for the design, improvement, and deployment of new solutions that drive company priorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop Software Solutions: Create software applications that process, store, and serve data for use by teams throughout the organization. Design and implement efficient data processing systems that can handle large volumes of information.
- Build Data Structures and Pipelines: Develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data that enables the generation of insights and addresses comprehensive reporting needs across all departments.
- ETL Development: Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design robust database systems, and develop tools for both real-time and offline analytic processing to support various business requirements.
- Scalable Pipeline Development: Construct data pipelines that are scalable, repeatable, and secure, ensuring consistent data availability and integrity across all applications and analytics platforms.
- Troubleshooting and Integration: Troubleshoot software and systems for data consistency and integrity. Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring adherence to data quality and accessibility requirements.
- Problem Resolution: Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact with internal and external partners and managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities, ensuring alignment and successful project outcomes.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a similar role; OR a Graduate Degree in a technical discipline with relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of SQL, including complex query optimization, stored procedures, and database design principles.
- Relationship Building: Experience establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal (colleagues, business partners, and leadership) and external (business associates, clients, and vendors) stakeholders within a matrix organization to ensure quality requirements for service.
- Data Analysis: Experience analyzing and reporting data in an effective manner to understand issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of outcomes and develop solutions.
- Travel Availability: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within the United States and internationally).
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering
- Experience with REST API development and integration
- Experience with Azure cloud software deployment and administration
- Extensive experience in Azure technologies, including:
- Azure Data Factory for data integration and orchestration
- Azure Databricks using Python or Scala for big data analytics
- Azure App Services for application hosting
- Azure Data Lake for scalable data storage
- Azure Functions for serverless computing
- Event Hubs and Event Grids for event-driven architectures
- Logic Apps for workflow automation
- Experience building Azure DevOps pipelines to enable CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation workflows
